32 Weeks!

Where has the time gone?! I cannot believe that I am 32 weeks today! I have been so lucky to have had such a great pregnancy so far- I have felt great, baby is healthy and kicking, and I've even been able to continue playing tennis! (Although I definitely let a few balls go that I would have normally gone for! LOL)
Technically, this was taken at 31 weeks...
but we have our maternity pictures tomorrow so I will
have some great 32 week pics to share soon!

It's been a very busy few weeks... just wrapped up my high school team's season yesterday... had to travel down to Valdosta, GA for State playoffs (on a very bumpy/hot bus with 11 teen aged boys!) but it was a fun day and I am proud of my team, how they played, and their efforts. We lost, and so the season is officially over, but it will be nice to have some free time after work now to relax and prepare for Baby Sage.

We have our nursery furniture and will be putting that together TONIGHT! I would imagine I will have something to blog about tomorrow! LOL

Spring Break!

Well it is Sunday night, (Happy Easter!) and my spring break is unfortunately coming to a close. It was a great week... here's my recap!

Last weekend mom and I kicked off my spring break by heading up to North Georgia (Dahlonega) for a "spa weekend" I booked for us off of a Living Social deal! We shopped the entire way up (LOVE those North GA Premium Outlets!!) and then got to enjoy a weekend of hiking, yoga, spa services, and wine tasting! (No, I didn't get to enjoy that part of our deal, but that's ok... I enjoyed the cheese pairing ;)

28 week Bumpdate!
(mom took this pic at one of about 5
restroom breaks on our drive up!)

view of the wine grapes and pond where we did yoga outside!

me and mom- after our hike, yoga, and painting class...
you will have to ask mom how much she enjoyed the painting class... ;)
After our fabulous spa weekend, it was off to Augusta, GA for our annual Masters Monday Practice Round! It was beautiful (and hot!) as always and we were even able to get a pimento cheese sandwich before they ran out this year! I definitely noticed how much less energy I had this year as we walked the course... but it was a great day  (and congrats to Bubba Watson!)

Me/Scott and the Masters Caddie bear we got
for Baby Sage!

Us and Scott's Parents! (Happy Birthday Betty!)

It's hot!

Me and mom, taking a break

me and Scott- and my 29 week belly!

I was able to spend a few days at the lake- relaxing and reading by the pool, and taking a few rides on the boat and golf cart as well. I DID buy a maternity swim suit that mom swears is cute on me, but no, there are no pictures of that to post on this blog! LOL

After a few days of relaxing, it was back home to do some "nesting"! We were so lucky to have our parents help and we got so many projects done! Cupboards/drawers cleaned out, pantry cleaned out, closets cleaned out, lights installed in the baby's closet, the attic re-organized, electrical work done in the attic, and the baby's room/bathroom painted! Everything looks absolutely beautiful and I will post some pictures of the nursery very soon...

Last but not least I was able to squeeze in some tennis with my ladies team yesterday (Saturday)! It was a beautiful day and our team won and is still in first place! Scott/my parents couldn't believe I was going to play at 29 weeks, but I did just fine! No, there was no diving for balls I may have gone for in the past, but I played great and it felt great to be out there. I'm saving the picture of me in my tennis skirt for Tuesday's bumpdate so stay tuned! ;)

Thank you again to our families for all of your help this weekend! We love you and appreciate it soooo much.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday- He is risen and we feel so blessed...               ~Kenz

Birthday!

What a great birthday I had last weekend! Had a fun "happy hour" in the neighborhood with great friends on Friday after work (let me rephrase that... after my 1/2 day of work/hair cut/color!). I also had to stop by the "tag office" (but got to park in another "expecting mother" spot!) before the happy hour celebration (happy birthday in GA! LOL). Anyhow- happy hour was great... here's a pic of me with lots of fun gifts from girlfriends...

After happy hour, Scott took me to dinner (Sushi!) and here's a little pic from there... and a peek at my new Tiffany's bracelet from him on my wrist! Thank you Hubby! xoxo

Saturday I was spoiled with a mani/pedi, and lunch with the girls. And Sunday I got to celebrate with my parents and parents-in-laws! All in all a great 34th bday and of course I can't wait to see what this year has in store for me! ;)

Working on the nursery!! Getting very excited for Baby Boy Sage to get here! He is certainly growing (as I'm sure you can see from the picture above!) and still kicking up a storm in there as well. I'm still feeling really good- well I did get sick randomly one morning this week at work- but afterward I felt just fine?! Weird... guess he didn't want my usual Chocolate Peanut Butter ZONE bar and coffee that morning?! But other than that, feeling great... excited it's finally Friday! It was an exhausting week with the school Tennis Kids- had matches Tues-Friday and didn't get home until 8pm any night. Looking forward to relaxing this weekend! (and shopping for the nursery with mom!) (oh, and going to see the Hunger Games!) I will rest though... promise! ;) -Kenz

25 week Bumpdate!

Sorry it's taken me so long to update and post a new baby bump pic! Truth is, I have been so sick and did not look cute AT ALL for the past week and a half so I couldn't have my picture taken! LOL. First, the flu, which I posted about, and then, a few days later, the most miserable head cold EVER. Doc finally put me on a "safe" antibiotic and I am feeling much better thank goodness. Missed a few days of work, but got to catch up on silly tv and magazines so that was nice! Baby Sage is doing just fine and is kicking up a storm in there! Here's the latest pic...

We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow (and a furlough day off of work!). We are also trying to pick out the paint color for the nursery so we can get going on that! So excited!
I'll post tomorrow about my current "craving"... :)

The flu

Scott came down with the flu 3 weeks ago... and between sterilizing the house and avoiding him I thought I had successfully avoided it... Nope. Bummer. Monday, after my usual morning cup of coffee during first period biology (yes, I'm still drinking coffee!) I just didn't feel right. I chalked it up to one of those weird pregnancy things- thought the coffee just didn't sit right, etc... Anyhow, about 3pm that day, as I hugged the porcelain throne and cursed the flu gods, I knew I had been struck. Yuck.

Saltines/Sprite have been the only things I've been able to keep down (and feed Baby Boy!) these last two days... I am feeling a bit better now and just had some cereal- which I can tell he is loving! He is kicking me like crazy these days! So much that I can even see my shirt move! WOW!

I will post my "bumpdate" asap! I am 24 weeks this week, but need to get over this flu/shower/look cute before I post a pic! ;)

Shopping!

Cool! Right up front! LOL
I'm off for the week (little perk of teaching!) and all I've planned this week is some much needed R&R at the lake, a little tennis, and a little shopping! Since I'm at the lake for a few days, I ventured out to Athens, GA to check out their mall...

I picked up a few things for myself (cute pair of flats, few casual maternity shirts for spring) enjoyed an Orange Julius, and picked out a few things for Baby Boy Sage...

And yes, that is a Dinosaur Beanie and Mittens!

Sorry, couldn't figure out how to rotate the pic!
Cute though, huh?!

Couldn't resist!
So fun! Can't wait to meet our little man!
