A little Lewis

H is feeling much better thank goodness so today we ventured out to the grocery store. I let him "hold" things (when I run out of room at the bottom of the stroller!) and so I gave him a bag of peaches. He dumped them out in his lap, and took a huge bite out of one! Loved it! Lol! Guess he got a little something from me... ;-)

Strep throat :-(

Poor guy. Developed a fever (102!) on Friday night (why do these things always start after the doctors offices close for the weekend?!) and lasted throughout the entire holiday weekend. :-( He was such a little trooper and really tried his best to feel good/play/smile whenever he could. There were periods of time where we really thought he kicked it, but it certainly came back with avengence Monday night. 103 fever amd miserable... Not sure who was more miserable though- me or him. It's definitely the worst thing ever to have your baby not feeling well! :-(

Woke up this morning with 103 and a rash! Omg! Headed to doctor- diagnosis: Strep Throat/Scarlet Fever! (I guess that is just strep throat + a rash). Got an antibiotic in him and although it's only been a couple if hours, and I hate to jinx it, he really does seem to be improving quickly. Fingers crossed and praying!

Here's a few pics from today/yesterday... Yes, we went to the pool for a bit yesterday... He really did seem "all better" with no fever when he woke up yesterday!?!? Loved the pool, for a couple of hours and was totalllly happy... Until it hit him again around 5:30. :-( Poor sweet baby. I'll keep ya posted on his recovery! :-)

Last day in Cali

Gosh I haven't updated in a while! Opps!

We spent our last day in California at Newport Beach (about 2 blocks from my old SMALL house!). We grabbed my favorite rice bowls (Flamebroiler!) and headed down there for the afternoon. H loves everything about the beach- sand, waves, birds, shells, seaweed, and how the water feels on your toes when the tide is rolling back in after a wave. So cute. Had sand EVERYWHERE, but it was a blast.

Got to see A & R one last time (thanks for dinner!) before heading to the airport for our red-eye flight. A few of you thought a red eye was a little crazy with a baby, but I am so happy to say, H did great, and slept the entire flight back to Atlanta! What a great little traveler he is! (Took a few days back at home to re-adjust to the time difference, but it was well worth it and we had a fabulous trip.)

Here's a few pics from our last day, and his "official 10 month" pic I never posted:
