It's a...

The Secretary at my high school (who also made Scott's Groom's cake for
our wedding!) made these adorable "ding dong"-like cupcakes for us!
The pink or blue filling was waiting for us on the inside!
We had our Gender Reveal Party last night! It was soooo much fun and so special to have some friends and family share in the excitement with us! Here are some pics!

Chick Filet, fruit, sweet tea, and cupcakes!
(Plus beer/wine for everyone but me!)

Are you ready to find out?!

Really Ready???

Did you cast your Vote??

Ok, here it goes!!

Everyone took a bite at the same time...

Blue!

The excited Parents-to-be!
(with chocolate all over our faces!)

Final vote: Boys 20 / Girls 14

Wow! Very exciting! Guess my little girl "dream name", along with any pink, bows, glitter, or flowers, is on hold for now! LOL! On to planning for a little boy who I'm sure will be the love of our life in no time! We are absolutely thrilled and feel so blessed right now.

Time to search online for some cute boy nursery themes! Cars? Critters? Dinosaurs? Boats? SPORTS!!

omg... I hope he likes sports as much as his parents! LOL

Baby Love!

Happy Valentine's Day! We have had a great day- got to go to our 21 week Ultrasound this morning and see Baby Sage! He/She was VERY active... so active in fact, that the Ultrasound Tech called him/her "Wild Child!" YIKES!

such a sweet face! his/her arm is in front
Here are a few cute pics...

little (or big?!) feet!

We really did turn away from the screen when it came time to determine the gender!! I swear! I know that no one believes me, but I really did drive the sealed envelope with the word BOY or GIRL straight to the secretary at the high school who is baking our Gender Reveal Cupcakes for Saturday's REVEAL party! We came REALLY close to caving in and tearing open the envelope, but I think it will be so special to find out with our families/neighborhood friends this coming Saturday so we refrained!

CAN'T WAIT!!

Happy Valentines to my wonderful Husband! I love you! XOXO

20 Week Bumpdate!

5 Months!!
Wow! They weren't kidding when they said Baby Sage would be the size of a cantaloupe this week! All of a sudden I really feel pregnant! LOL... and yes, these are real maternity jeans now! The full belly panel under there may not be that cute... but they sure are comfy!
While 'lil Sage has been busy growing the past couple of weeks, I have been busy coaching tennis at the high school. Had a great turn out for tryouts, picked the varsity team, and am quite excited about the new talent and our chances of actually being pretty good this year! :) It's a great group of kids (and undoubtedly, my favorite part of my job!). They are also very excited for Baby Sage and feel bad when they accidentally hit me with a tennis ball during drills ;)

Other than that, it's been very exciting to finally FEEL 'lil Sage lately! He (or She!) has been kicking me this week... and seems to really like frozen yogurt!

Looking forward to finding out the gender in 2 weeks!!! I'll keep ya "posted"! ;)

What Fruit is it This Week??

Baby Sage is growing like a weed ...fruit??

I have had fun with these fruit-baby size comparisons since 'lil Sage was just a wee poppy seed and thought I'd share them with you! This week Baby Sage is officially a MANGO! Weighing in at around 8.5 oz and recording 6 inches in length!
It's been cute and sweet to use these fruit charts week by week... but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to find it so funny... seeing that next week it makes it to CANTALOUPE status and a few weeks after that EGGPLANT! Oh and I don't even want to think about the WATERMELON stage yet!

Appleseed = 5 weeks!

Olive! ;) Week 9

Peach! Week 13

Week 16 = Avocado!

Cantaloupe! Week 20

Eggplant = Week 25

And finally... the Watermelon for week 37!
...Maybe mine will be the small, seedless variety?!

Bumpdate! 18 Weeks!

The sticker says "4 Months"
...I'm really 4 1/2, but there just wasn't much to take a picture of before now! LOL
Here it is! My baby bump! Seemed to take FOREVER to get here, but it certainly seemed to show up this weekend! I'm still in my "regular" jeans here... although they're not buttoned and I have one of those fabulous "Belly Bands" on to help conceal that! Hoping to wear my Citizens as long as possible!! :)

Mom and I did go shopping yesterday (MLK day off woo hoo!) and ended up at a little maternity store here in McDonough... Ended up getting some pretty cute things that will hopefully work for the next few months! My favorite purchase: maternity SKINNY JEANS!! Thanks Mom!

All in all I'm feeling great... still playing tennis on our ALTA mixed doubles team as well! Scott and I are actually partners this season... sure to have a post about that sometime soon! LOL

Finally- for those of you that have tried to leave comments on here and haven't been able to, I think that I have fixed that now... Thanks for visiting/reading! -kenz

My "first born"

From the moment I saw Molly, behind glass, in a pet shop in Newport Beach, California, I knew she was supposed to be mine... She has been the best kid I mean dog, one could ever hope for. I must admit, I am a bit worried about how she will adjust to life with the "new kid in town" once the baby gets here, as she is definitely used to being top dog around here! Molly is so sweet and social though, she will probably take to the new baby just fine... after she gets over the initial shock that the baby is getting "her room."

A "toast" to 2012

We "partied" the night away at our annual Progressive Dinner shared with a dozen of our close friends here in our neighborhood. Had amazing appetizers at Melissa/Gary's, a wonderful butternut soup at Denise/Phil's, a great ham and sweet potato casserole at Lisa/Mark's, and then a FABULOUS dessert bar at Marti/George's. Marti even set out coco krispies (my pregnancy craving!) for me!

It was a great way to ring in the new year, filled with many laughs, toasts to Baby Sage, and even a little dancing at the end of the night. (and no, I'm not going to post those videos!)

So here's to 2012! A year that will forever change our lives and one we are looking forward to very much!
